So I was out in Illinois doing prep work for the fall.... I must have walked through chiggers as it looks like I was peppered with skeet load... Ankle stomach and back got attacked by them little bastards..

Yup, that’s terrible. Oddly enough...I just made a DIY for things just like that! I’ve never tried it on Chiggers, but it’s worth a try.

Wow! You got nailed! I won’t go in the woods until it gets cold. Only exception is Sunday mornings in Jersey when I bait in September, but I spray head to toe then take my clothes off on the back deck and jump in the shower. Clothes go straight to the washer.

Never had them but my buddies in Tennessee talk about them. One guy was picking berry's with shorts on standing on the side of the road and had them up his groin and on his sack. Had to go to hospital for it. Lol

Been ran out of the woods more than once by those bastards. Can feel it when they bite in, by the time I got back to the gate I could feel em biting my balls. Got home and stripped to nothing outside. The woman was quite confused. Was picking those things out of me the rest of the night.

Never run into chiggers in North Jersey... But I know South Jersey has quite a bit of them.

You get them bad one time and you will always treat your clothes with sawyers.

Never get them again. I’ve tried everything to help get rid of them after having them. Nothing has worked.
I'll second this, this shit works. Treat your clothes per the directions and you shouldnt get bothered by ticks n chiggers much. Shouldnt turkey hunt without this stuff.

Permethrin is your friend. If you haven't ever used it, you're missing out. Kills ticks and chiggers dead. Stays on the clothes for two or three washes at least.

You can buy the 37% concentrate online at pest control websites and dilute it down with water. You'll want between a 0.5% and 1% final concentration. Just spray it on your clothes and drop em in the dryer. Then wear. If you are worried about the smell, after they dry just wash them in whatever scent control soap you want. The permethrin will still work.

I swear by this stuff. In the south the ticks and chiggers will just plain carry you off if you dont.

Usually out in Illinois I don't have insect issues... In Jersey I always spray with Sawyer's... Guess I have to start spraying out there.
