I put a rubber pad down on the floor of mine. You may not have the same issue, but water dripped in through the windows on one side. I don’t know if there is a good remedy for that, so I pulled the carpet out. It was frozen solid one morning before I fired up the furnace. Your windows are different from mine so that may not be a problem for you.

Rubber matting may be a good idea, might give that a try. My cocktail glasses won't break when I drop them!

We thought about rubber matting, but thought our boots would squeak when they were wet, also thought about carpet, but figured it would create mold if it didnt get sunlight or a breeze. Right now its just the wood flooring

This is what I used. It’s a lockable foam floor. Comes it different colors and I prefer to have a white or light grey floor

It’s 3/4 foam mats. Quite, soft and water resistant. My office chairs will dent where the castors are but come back to normal after an hour or so depending on temperature. It’s also cheap and I put it in my round blind and just used a razor knife to trim around the edges to fit the circular blind.

only pic I had with the floor in it. Got mine free from a buddy and he had different colors. Flipped upside down and quick trim w a dull knife and came out good. I would recommend this type of flooring for blinds.

The lighter colors help you see the floor better in low light conditions or when it’s dark. This way I can grab stuff out my bag or not kick something already on the floor.

I agree with Brock. We have carpet down in 2 of our shacks and I am planning to rip it out and go with some sort of rubber pad like others are mentioning. One shack has been infested with mice and the smell from the carpet caused us to not even use it this past season. The other shack has wasp jiz all over it from the so many wasp nests that get built every year. Sweeping it out doesn't even do a decent job.

All good info guys, thanks. I've got like a walk off mat in my other blind, kinda carpet but not really. I like the lock together matting and may give that a go!

I have that outdoor AstroTurf type carpet in one blind and rubber mats in the rest. Both work great. I also drilled holes in a few places so if water does get in, it can drain out. The carpet/mat overtop of the holes stops critters from getting in. I also used sealing foam to stop the wasps from getting in....got tired of hearing them buzz around in the dark when the heater warmed things up in there.

I will pass on that. Unless you making a fake food plot I don’t want that crap for flooring in my blinds [emoji23]

Sound proofing, rubber so it doesn't rot, quiet under foot, muffles dropped items, and cheap. Seems like it checks all the functional boxes to me man. You entertaing dinner guests in there or hunting? :ROFLMAO:

Funny "dont want that in my blind" story. A buddy and I used spray adhesive and wallpapered the inside and ceiling of another buddies wooden blind with pages from hardcore gray porn mags. I'm talking not a square inch left uncovered. Lmao.

I would’ve swapped blinds while you wasn’t hunting.
