No worries, hope you feel better soon. That was one of the worst things I heard today! 🤮

Had snow last year and about 50* colder. I didn’t make the hunt, but is was good to share some meat with you guys. 😂

Wait you guys were sharing your meat? Damn I am glad left before hide the sausage started. 😂😂

I made it to 2.5 miles of my farm, had to slam on break, jump out and get sick. Scared the hell out of Charles who was sound asleep.

Got home had it coming out both ends, I know TMI. Just now at 7:45 and I starting to feel human again. No hunting today, I didn’t know where I was this afternoon. I am going to try my best to get out in the morning.

Great to see you guys again.

With no buck tag, and only does being legal on public ground, can I legally carry a gun during out annual muzzy hunt? Asking for a friend.

Also asking for a show of hands on how many guys want to meet on Sunday of muzzy again at Vinton Furnace? Maybe try a new patch of ground, or try a different approach on our current patch.

I assume you meant to say, does are only legal on PRIVATE land. If you can coyote hunt during muzzy, then my take on it is, yes you can.

Edit: Yeah, it appears that's a negative on gun toting during muzzy on public in your scenario.

Just to clarify - It'll be buck only - no does on public ground
From Dec. 9, 2019 to Feb. 2, 2020, only antlered deer may be taken from spe-cific public hunting areas in Ohio.
If you've already filled your buck tag yer out of luck.

If we do this, wherever we choose to go (if it's public) I won't be hunting, but I'll bring the grill and we'll make some eats.
Either breakfast sandwiches before or burgers/dogs after.

I’m a solid maybe/I don’t know/possibly. Right now it sounds like a great idea but with the way things have been lately, who knows...

My assumption is that I no longer possess valid deer permit when I step from private, to public land because the only deer I could legally harvest on public land is a buck and since I don't have the legal right to harvest a buck until next season, my either sex tag is invalid by default on public land. Might be time to call the GW.

I agree on both counts. I also agree with the law to prevent party hunting on public land.

I was successful, as were others who might attend, in "filling in" our tag, so we could not carry any hunting implement commonly used to kill wild animals. Sounds like I/we could drive deer, but without a weapon.

But I could still be squirrel or rabbit hunting as a main objective. I see it no different than someone deer hunting surrounding properties of a pheasant release. Or any of the likes of any other hunters. As long as we are clear about what our intentions are. As in, I would be totally fine with a squirrel hunt if I agreed to stick to ridges to not impede upon the deer hunters. That gives me a chance of still bringing food home.

If we have 4-5 guys with buck tags that want to do this, I'll beat brush for you and I'll call the game warden to be clear in our intentions and get his sign off.

No offense, but if we only get a couple buck tags to show, I may stay local and hunt ducks. Right now, I count one possible buck tag in Isaac. Anyone else?
