My 2 cents...

I've bought a few over the years. Here's a pic of some but not all. The ones I think are most important are on food preservation (fermentation, curing, smoking, canning). The sausage making books have a good info on how to cure and preserve meat, not just on how to make sausage. The Armed Forces Survival Guide has good info.

I'm not going to be able to feed myself and my family with a spring pole snare, so the primitive / native american books for me were Interesting but not practical. Living off the land, Edible Wild Plants, SAS Tracking Guide were kindof in the same category. They were fun to read but for me didn't rank up in the top except for the parts that dealt with water purification and first aid.

That home processing book is a good one. I refer to that for brine and curing ratios often...and use the sausage recipes.

I ordered a posture correcting brace the other day. I figured as long as I was home I could wear it to help correct my atrocious slouch or I'm gonna look like Quasimodo by the time I'm 60. I also have a tendency to slouch when sitting in my office chair and it helps prevent that by keeping the upper back straight.

The first few days it was an on and off again affair. Now I can wear it for the 8-9 hours at my desk and it doesn't bother me. The results are pretty good and im developing muscle memory as my shoulders are more square when in a relaxed state when its off.

I really should look at doing something similar, Joe. My way of correcting my slouching in the office chair is to do the gangster lean. My chair posture is horrible.

There are some really nice ultra cushioned running shoes out now that may allow you to run. Check out a pair of Hoka One One Rincon.

My posture is also terrible. I have a crazy inward curve to my lower back. I can stand with butt and shoulders touching a wall and you can slide a pool noodle between my back and the all about 6" above my tailbone. It was pretty concerning to the PTA instructor at school. She had her class evaluate me and I'm basically a hot mess in many ways from posture, to gait, to alignment.

I cared to share with you guys what happened just over the last 12 hours, with the hopes that it would perhaps make some laugh and/or lift some spirits perhaps, which is something I believe is well needed during these crazy times we're in.

Last night I made a on-line web purchase from an organization that is owned, worked and managed by former military/veteran people.

I've been far more focused these days on what & where I spend my money and place my purchases, especially towards personal cool items of mine.

American made is a must for me, and better yet, if it's American made by people and/or organizations that I completely believe-in/have faith-in, care about and wish to support totally.

Anyhow, back to my last night's purchase.

Shortly after I completed my on-line purchase, I received a couple of emails that I found to be rather humorous - "OMG.....ANOTHER ONE!!!!"

This original email was quickly followed up by the owner that explained what happened with the first, which made me laugh... I'd say they must be real busy, which is a good thing imo...

"Sorry...disregard email. Was forwarding to my shipping clerk. (Working remotely due to virus.)"

Then I received another followup email from the owner once again, a hour later;

"We wanted to let you know that your package will ship on 04/17/20 via Priority Mail Padded Flat Rate Envelope. You can track your package at any time using the link below.

Please allow up to 24 hours for the tracking link to update."

These emails are a prime example why I choose to purchase from an organization such as this one. I was treated as a priority, as I should...

The organization I'm referring to specially in this instance and worthy to share/promote in my book even though I do not have the product currently in my hands just yet, but I have not doubt it will exceed my expectations once I receive it within the next few days.

About Us – Cold Steel Tactical and The Survivor Sling – FIELD Tested in Afghanistan 2018

What is it about Cold Steel Tactical’s The Survivor Sling that makes it so great? Cold Steel Tactical is a Service Disabled Veteran Small Business Owned (SDVBO) and founded business in the heart of the Midwest, in a small town in Michigan. Our employment focus is Veteran Military servicemen and women and First Responders and other Patriots. The people who protect and serve our citizens and country and keep us all safe day and day out. We try to hire those that have served and their immediate families.
Why you might ask? Because who better to make such a wonderful and useful product inspired by the founder’s own military service and because these veterans know first hand the sacrifices and skills needed to protect and serve. Their families make sacrifices too as their loved ones go off to work or to serve knowing how dangerous their profession and careers are day in and day out.
We want to make great products with great people and maybe have a great time doing so with our co-workers……hopefully without the drama and arguing at the holidays. Our veteran staff is a small group of dedicated people who help us hand make these items for you the customer. Each step is a critical component of our business and we treat our team like family.
This company began like many others, an idea, some free time and a basement. Our founder spent years tinkering away at a design based on a friendly bet from one of his long time friends. That bet was that if he put his mind to it he could invent something useful and cool for the gun industry and the The Survivor Sling was born. It’s had a few iterations, some starts and stops and lots of customer feedback along the way. We started with just paracord from the local craft store and some basic connectors to what you see today.
We hope you like our story and our products and we hope to continue to grow into the future and see what tomorrow brings.

I believe this is a good example where my purchasing behavior has changed more for the better. I'm more focused on supporting American made type organizations that I believe support much of the same beliefs as mine.

Wanted to followed up on this since I received my 'Tactical Gun Sling' yesterday.

Again, I can't say enough about the attention to detail that this organization brings to the table when I made the order, both in customer service and especially into the product itself. In my humble opinion, the rifle sling speaks for itself. Excellent high quality, very functional and it definitely offers up the cool factor big time! The label is signed off by a military vet that put it together, very cool (y)

I now have another 100% AMERICAN MADE TOP TO BOTTOM BADASS-MF MODERN DAY FIREARM ready to rock-n-roll and I couldn't be happier at this very moment! All the details below if interested. I have an action packed day getting it all zeroed/broke in. Life will be tough for me today, NOT!:ROFLMAO:

I only hope everything can get back to human enter action with buisness. You tech people probably feel nothing through some of these times with ordering online products and every govt/nonessential buisness that's all online now. I need to renew tags and I cringe at the thought of trying to do this. Just because I have a trailer tag id like to bring back that's four years old and don't want to attempt it along with normal overdue vehicle. I've bought a few things from cableas and hunting liscence before but my wife takes care of anything Internet. I just learned how to share a YouTube video on here this week. I put my wife's email for anything with work or anything that requires an email address. i don't think I'll change or try after covid but this is something I'm not enjoying through all this.
