My 80 year old dad said he didn’t like hunting from the box blind and wanted to get a ladder stand. I said I have the perfect tree. Tyler put it together and we hung it yesterday around noon. My dad just wanted to look at the stand today, Tyler said hunt from it. He watched 5 from it and then right before dark Clubhead came walking down the trail. Tyler went to GPA as soon as he texted saying he hit one. My dad was shaking like a leaf. Tyler found the deer 75 yards away after a double lung shot. This is the 4 year old character buck I was going to shoot myself. It has an 11” spread. Things could not have gone any better. His best buck.

This year he was very similar to last year but a little bigger. He's 11" wide inside and dressed out at 150#. He looks bigger but is actually a very short deer. His neck was swollen and heavy but not long at all. I never once had a pic of him sparring with another buck. Last year I was watching the buck that Tyler killed this year breed a doe. Clubhead walked in on them and saw who it was and left immediately. He must have run into an old fence when he crashed because his nose was nearly ripped off. Very cool deer.
