I think Tesla is proving that.

2.2M Tesla's recalled for incorrect font size....wtf?!?LOL, never did I expect to see that for a recall reason. How are they going to do this without the dealership business model? Prolly just a firmware update that's pushed to the car....crazy?

Well guys, just bought my second yota in my life today. First one was a SR5 4x4 from Germain Toyota in C-bus off Brice RD exit. That was 1985!😳😂

I was seriously considering a couple lifted rigs on Net Direct out of FT Worth TX but was apprehensive of buying something so expensive without seeing it in person, touching it and driving it! Tons of great reviews vs the couple bad ones but just not for me. My wife started searching and found the one I just bought up in Lafayette IN just south of Chicago a ways and it looked and sounded like my dream truck.
It’s a 2021 Midnight Black Toyota Tundra 381 V8 in the 1794 Platinum trim pkg with only 4200 miles and change. 3.5” lift, 20” wheels and 35” tires. It rode and handle great on my 3 plus hour drive back home tonight. Traded in our 07 Ford Edge with 180K which was a solid vehicle but glad it’s no longer taking up space in our drive.
Without further ado, here’s the new member of our family…..🤗🤟🏻

The sales and financial team up there at Bob Rohrman Toyota were great to work with and Jed was great talking with during the test drive. He’s a hunter out of NB and killed several real nice bucks that he shared pics of on his phone. I told him to checkout our forum sometime and jump on in!

I got a feeling my 06 F-Fiddy is going to get jealous and give me the silent treatment awhile. Lol
How’s the truck been for you so far, Ric?

It’s been great J. She’s got 15,868 miles on her and the Mothers Ceramic coat has her looking pretty sleek. Pretty good product.

Like print or am I missing something?

I agree that it is likely something a person could do from home. Just gotta schedule a reboot or something while it's not in use and plugged in. But that does bring up the question of what if it was a hub or something mechanical. I imagine they have certified mechanics. Like my VW was able to get warranty work done from a local shop.

You mean like the upgrade to their driving range they did during the buildup to one of the hurricanes that threatened Florida a few years ago?

Let me adjust my tinfoil. If they can do that. . . .how easy would it be for a govt (not necessarily ours) to shut them down? Might be a foreign hacker that shuts off all our vehicles. Scary times.

"Leave The World Behind" a terrorist movie on Netflix has a pretty good part in it where the people are trying to commute onto the highway system and get stopped by a bunch of crashed Tesla's blocking entrances to the highway. As they sit there trying to figure what is going on here comes a few more unmanned Tesla's that ram into the pile-up. They figure out that the cars have been taken control of remotely and purposely driven to block the flow of traffic so the terrorists can limit movement. Even though the movie sucked off and on it was decent on the conspiracy thinking of how we might be taken over some day.

I have a 2016 Durango and recieved a pop-up one day that a software update was available that takes 20 minutes and asked if I wanted to do it now. I did it when I got home and it loaded it completely remotely. I don't have any wireless services for the vehicle but apparently Fiat does.

Toyota does the same. The wife’s Mercedes does also.
