We are still on track for Weds. late afternoon.

I was looking for boat rentals as I'd like to get the boys out on the water to fish and all I could find was they transfered all the boats over to Rocky Fork. Giles or Brock any insights?
I’m not much help with boat rental. I was at the marina @ Paint this past Monday. No boats at all, rental or private. I think they usually open the first of May but most folks don’t put their boats in that early because they fluctuate the water levels so much on Paint. Having said that, I was in the Marina fishing. It’s easy access and get packed full of crappie. You will not be able to fish there if boats are present as they have locked gates on the dock entrances to protect the boats from theft. I can give you good locations to fish on Rocky if you go that route, but there is quite a bit of good shore fishing on Paint this time of year unless they flood the lake.

Another thing; most of Paint Creek’s good turkey habitat is set aside for youth only. You no longer need to put in for a drawing, free to access any day except Sunday. If anyone wants to take their kid on a quality turkey hunt, it’s a great opportunity. I killed three turkeys in three morning hunts before I discovered it was designated for youth only and would be happy to assist with that particular location. Mason shot a big gobbler in the same place several years ago when being drawn was still a requirement. I suspect it is underutilized these days.

Take mine! if you can swing through vw county and someone has a boaters liscence and a trailer hitch to pull. It will fish a few adults and a few kids . I'll pull it home saturday night.

5 Sam's club size bags of chips
Sam's club humongous pack of hotdogs
4 pounds of bacon
2 Sam's club size breakfast sausage logs
Case of kids drinks
Case of kids juices
2 cases of water

Ketchup, mustard, relish pack
Giant bag of mixed candy

Let's do this Thang!

Edit: wife has been saving eggs, so a few dozen eggs also

Someone also requested that she made her pasta salad, so I'm sure that will be part of what we bring.

Anyone have kids or wife with allergies?

I have one with a nut allergy but he is very good about asking before eating cookies and such. So I don't normally worry about him. The snikers salad made me think of it though. Figured I would bring it up. Bee stings or anything would be good to know. Not that it needs brought to light on a public forum, but good to know once we get together. Or at least take this as a reminder to bring a pen if needed. 👍

I know. This is the family event. All good though. I can accept the cousin Eddie role whenever I make this event. That will take the pressure off everyone else.
