The one foraging page I found says there’s three different types of beefsteak type. Only one they consider edible and that’s after all kinds of boiling or some thing to get rid of toxins I guess? I always figured if I saw them I’d probably stop them in the ground LOL
first oyster mushrooms of the season for me. I actually found two small clusters of these two weeks ago on the same log, but those were already too far gone to eat. you can see the dried up remnants of the first bunch in the second pic.
