Heading out in a few hours to Obey river on Dale Hollow lake for some drinking with some buddies. We will try and catch some fish while we are there as well.

Absolutely love DH. Been going there for a looooong time, started with Cumberland but switched to DH maybe 15 years ago. Never fished it, heard it's not the easiest since it's such a big deep lake. Sure is gorgeous though, nice clean water. We get a cabin anymore, drag all the boats down and ski, wakeboard, tube and swim all week. Would like to try some fishing next year myself.
Have a blast Dustin, I eagerly await for the fishing report and all the fish caught, or lack thereof...
Thursday we arrived at the cabin around 8 A.M. and got settled in. Around noon we made lunch, beer can burgers
They were delicious. Fill the middle with whatever you want.
After we finished those we went down to the marina and signed for the pontoon boat. They let go ahead and have it for Thursday and Friday. We fished for about an hour or two. While we were out we had ribs going on my buddies Big Green Egg back at the cabin. They were a little over done for my liking.
Friday morning we got up and hit the lake.No luck. I got a decent buzz and a more than decent sunburn. It was a great time on the water. Lots of laughs.
Saturday morning we got up early and my buddy Matt made a breakfast fatty. Bacon weave, 1 lb of breakfast sausage with eggs, onions, green peppers, cheese and hashbrowns rolled up inside. It was very good.

While the breakfast fatty was cooking, I was prepping my pork belly burnt ends. They got done right before the Notre Dame game kicked off.
Saturday night we had steak and taters.
It was a great trip. My liver was a fuckin champ.Looking forward to next year. I dont even care that we didnt catch fish. Spent most of the time with a beer in my hand and talking a bunch of shit to my buddies. Exactly what I wanted from that trip.
