Rotflmao! Thanks Dave! We did in fact have a great time!
Ric’s rant post is definitely spot on! We’ve got a long way to go to reach elite status! Especially on pass coverage and LB play!
The rest of the team shows promise.

Just play football. Have fun. Anyone out hunting wishing you were watching the game? Stay in the woods. Love my Buckeyes. Don't doubt they will win. Sure are playing complacent right now. Crowd is pretty quiet even. Soft coverage by DBs. Missed tackles. O-line and D-line not real effective. It is Minnesota! If not for a couple turn overs and a one handed grab for a TD while typing we would still be losing. 4min left in half. Now 17-14. Ugh.

I realize there were a lot of injured players. I realize we had several second string players out there. Shouldn't matter. We have depth. What happens when a key player is injured late in the season? Put in a sub. This is why coaches need to rotate. If these guys in today's line up are our subs, God forbid a late season injury for a starter. Opponent will eat that up. It was Minnesota for crying out loud!

Even more of a shame that we’re number 3...we should’ve put up some points today. MN didn’t do anything impressive, neither did we.

Actually I think they did. They controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides. Were it not for 3 (or was it 4?) turnovers. . . .AND 2 missed field goals. . . .they win. Just lethargic Buckeye team today.

Been thinking about why I'm frustrated. Last year we were the youngest team in the country. We needed to improve. Nearly every week we did. We slowly brought the DBs up to speed. Every aspect of our game steadily improved. This year? I haven't seen it. DBs are still playing soft and missing tackles. Chase Young looks great with Boza missing. Dremont Jones has looked great but was out today. The O-line started the season pretty solid. Today was disappointing. Kept a good pocket for Haskins but failed to open holes for the RBs. Run game was pathetic today. Halfway thru the season I'd like to see minor tweaks and fine tuning.

This brings me to my next thought: I think Buckeye fans (myself included) expect a TON out of these kids. Maybe it isn't realistic year in and out. I don't know. Just like deer hunting, sometimes you have a down year. Not many prospects. Not the case with the Buckeyes though. They have talent. Just not geling yet on a regular.

If we want to pick apart today’s game, I think we did a fine job. We won a game without using any running. OSU hasn’t done that in a long time. Really looked like a different team. Even without Bosa, it gave our defense a chance to find a way to fill the gap.

On the outside they looked like shit, but I think it’s because we seen a totally different way to play the ball today.

Not just Bosa. Announcers rattled off 3-4 names on defense missing. No Dremont Jones either. Missing the BS Target call defensive back ahalf the game too. Really had a lot of second stringers in there.

That is a good way to look at things Dave. Different perspective you offered anyway.

It’s easier to bitch and more fun to complain, but that’s how I really seen it. A smart coach wouldn’t of done it any other way, not worth hurting any other players either. Pull them for a game and get these other guys some game time. That experience could really be key later in the year/years. Knowing OSU fans wouldn’t be happy either way, what did he have on he line? Nothing but gains today with playing the way he did.

Tressel also pulled players and gave the second and third deep players game time... Always seemed to work for him as well...

Pretty much same sloppy play and game clock management in the first half what little I saw today. I had stuff to do outside and just stepped inside and watch a few minutes off and on all game long. I recorded it so Ron and I will watch it tomorrow. I was glad to see Hilliard and Browning get some play time today. Hill had a great game it looked like but from what I saw it wasn’t a very good game across the board. The Buckeyes will be tested by EVERYONE from here on out so they better get things shored up soon. It starts with coaching. Clock management is pathetic and the play calling at times makes you scratch your head. As big as out OL is they sure struggle, especial Prince(move your feet!!!!)😂
Note to ALL DB’s: TURN YOUR HEAD THE F.... AROUND AND PLAY THE BALL!!! You might actually pick off a pass!!!...SMH

I agree with Ryan with what he said awhile back, Alabama is way ahead of the rest of the field. Whose going to get better from here on out to challenge them in the playoffs?!?!

Don't agree too much with me. The rest of my post I went on to say I though Georgia and WVU were gonna make the playoffs. After yesterday, that aint happening. LSU still has me befuddled. I am still high on Texas. Their only loss was to Maryland in a monsoon. And Penn St is a fringe top 25 team, as I've said all along. Michigan looked really good last night. The O-line is really starting to play well. Still a tough schedule ahead for them. OSU still should be undefeated going into Thanksgiving weekend. Their back 7 is pretty suspect right now. Plenty of talent though
