Guess I better start a thread. I've been pretty quiet all summer. Been watching a buck that I haven't even told my dad about! Nor shown him pictures of! He will still probably kill it out from under me. Lol. I hunted Sunday evening just too see what a certain buck was up to to help me put the puzzle together for kaylas hunts this weekend. She has been outshooting me with her recurve all summer. Pretty sad on my part lol.
Here are some pics from this summer. The first set of pics are some bucks I would like to see her get a shot at. If we are lucky enough.

Kay had a good hunt last night. As soon as we were heading up the steps the rain quit. 30 minutes later a doe and fawn slip in from our right. They get to 20 yards and back out. I don't know why? 10 minutes later they are back. And feeding at 15 yds. She elected to pass on them. The wind hit me in the back of the head and the doe lifted her head, looked straight through us took a big wif of smoke and put her head back down ImageUploadedByTapatalk1443964289.561012.jpg

After they left we had some more does around us. Then the buck she is after comes straight at us from across the field. He gets to 30 yards and stops. His 6th sense saved his life. He didn't wig out or even look up at us. But he turned broadside and walked around back to the woods. 20 minutes after that we had 5 deer within 30 yards. The buck comes back out and stays out at 30 yards. Classic example of how hard it is to kill a buck with a recurve. If she had a compound he was dead 100 times. But the challenge is what makes it fun!
