He's a shooter for sure. Told Tracie I'd like to see him make it to January. If I still have a tag, it would make for a nice chess match.

Awesome deer dude. Shooter in my book any day for sure. Some more angles would be ideal... but based on that pic I'd guess he's a 3 year old.

Sure is a picture perfect “purdy Sumbitch” if I ever seen one. Is he on any kind of pattern or just showed up for a couple days kind of deer? I hate those one time appearance deer, seems they find a way to avoid a cam after it caught them once.

He may be the same buck I had pics of in velvet back in August, but this was the only hard horned pic of him. With the time of day and direction he came from/headed, I have a good idea of where he was bedding because there's not many options. If he was still using that spot, there's 2 better trails than this one for him to transition to/from that spot.

I have big plans for this 11 acres that will kick off in February. I really believe that 20 years of bowhunting these woods is starting to pay off despite the increase in development and pressure in recent years. I expect late season hunting to be good every year based on this plan.

Took a while, but we have a shooter making use of the farm. I have pics of this deer in late-January and I'm fairly certain he was 4 then, meaning he's the first 5 year old I've had on cam in several years. He's almost identical to a deer I called Dozer, for obvious reasons, so he might as well be Dozer II. It appears he's frequenting the same bedding area that Daryl Dawkins was using a couple years ago. I have a stand in place to capitalize on his pattern, just need to be there when he's there!

I rolled through here headed the other direction an hour and 15 minutes after this guy. So close!

I'd guess 12" or better myself. Very similar to a deer I had a few years back. I've been running cams since 2003 and it's amazing how many bucks I see that are 2nd or 3rd generations of bucks I've seen before. I'd have to dig back, but this 8-point is nearly identical down to the shape of his G2s of a buck that would likely be his dad/uncle/brother or some other relation. Makes me wonder how much not shooting does effects the genetic variation in your antler characteristic pool.

I've been slacking! And hoarding pics for that matter!!!

This is the same buck I had at 30 steps on Veteran's Day but couldn't get a pin into his vitals. My buddy/neighbor killed him during gun week. This is the Gate Cam. He's 100 yards from the road walking right towards it. I was 36 hours from turning the keys over on the house, so I was busy moving rather than hunting.

Pretty sure I was browsing TOO at work when this pic was taken. :ROFLMAO:

This buck was a cruiser. I wasn't hunting. Again. That move really cost me some encounters...

The month is wrong on this cam, it was actually 11/5 and I was in a meeting...

This buck was also a cruiser and is the best buck we had on cam between 500 acres this year. Only series of pic any of us got of him.

The good news is we have survivors. I've got pics of this buck all the way back to June. The buck I call Dozer II. Seen him twice now and damn near shot him opening day of gun season. He's a home body and he's bedding pretty close to this cam. He could be killable if the weather will turn nasty. Same cam that's off a month, so this was Thursday morning and he's 30 yards broadside to stand and 50 yards from a blind. We're in each other's wheelhouse heading into the home stretch.

Maybe better than a target buck making it through gun season, target buck makers. Which will be targets this weekend for Tracie. We're hoping to single out the biggest doe, who does not appear to have had fawns this year. She's been alone in pics all year.
