    Turkey VS. Squirrel

I got a kick outta this one... It's a video that gets interesting at about the 30 second mark when the hen starts to scratch up some food.

    Trad Turkey Video

Figured this would be a better place to post this rather than the Turkey forum... Mostly target shooting, couple clips of me in the blind also. No turkeys are shot so don't get TOO excited... ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7ltggX8X2w&feature=youtu.be Samick Sage Recurve bow. #50@ 28''

    Here turkey turkey

I knew there was a handful of turkeys in the area. We don't have a ton, but we have them in pockets in my area. I had seen toms in full strut a month before the season. I saw jack squat during the season. These pictures tell me I was not completely crazy. Someone was doing some breeding!

    Buffalo Turkey Samiches

Here's a recipe so easy, and so tasty you won't believe it... 1 12 oz bottle of Frank's Red Hot Wings Sauce, Buffalo flavor 1 Dry Packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix 1 Turkey Breast (thawed or fresh) Pour the bottle of Frank's & 1/2 of the Hidden Valley mix into a bowl & stir...

    Turkey Fan Mount is back!

I got a call from Dave Bailey, my taxidermist and he said that my turkey fan mount was ready to be picked up. :smiley_bril: Mine was the 3rd turkey to be turned in to him, in Allen county and it was shot on the 24th of April. Pretty quick service...and good quality too. :smiley_blink: Only $115...

    First Turkey Last Day

There's more to the story, but I haven't had time to sit down and put it all together yet. Couple things I know for sure though, #1 without Longdraw I would've never had this great opportunity (thanks again Buddy), #2 this turkey hunting stuff is fun as hell!! More to come later... 11"...

How many turkey decoys do you use?

I used to use a hen and a jake. Now, I'm going with safety in numbers or something simular to what's used with waterfowl field sets. I've got a strutting tom, a jake and 4 hens. It'll be interesting to see their response to "the flock", but may have to cut back the numbers. The last time I...

Is it too late to get a 2nd turkey?

I just picked up a dozen arrows and sighted them in with my bow. I've been thinking about going out after a 2nd turkey with my bow. There should be enough foilage to conceal me while I draw. Since the season's open until the 20th and we can hunt all day, it gives a guy some hope...

    3-Day Turkey Hunt

Well, I learned a lot and I did shoot, but I didn't kill my gobbler on my parents farm. Thursday morning, I hunted Williams Co., Ohio, the spot I've been hunting this year. I didn't see or hear anything so I left for Michigan at 10am. I went straight to the farm and setup my blind for the...

Just wanted to share a picture and story with everyone at TOO. This is a smoke phase gobbler my uncle shot on March 25th and the full story of the hunt. Enjoy!

    Turkey question

Just wondering, is there an accurate way to age a turkey? I figure jakes are 2 years old or there abouts but what indicates a bird that is 5,6, or 7?

    Turkey Shot Placement Video

I found this on You Tube and thought it would be a good one to share with everyone else that might be bowhunting turkeys this year...or any time in the future. :smiley_bril: I'm still thinking about purchasing another tag and going back out with my bow, but it'll have to wait until the all day...

Mossberg Grand Slam Turkey Series shotguns

Mossberg 500 pump guns have been a go to gun for years. I have owned one and also several Remington 870s. Lately, it seems the newer 870s have been clunky and nothing compared to the older 870 Wingmasters of the 70's-80's. I began searching for a turkey/coyote gun and Tree Monkey was kind...

    Turkey Plaque Tip

Here is a little thing I thought of one day. Save your shell and use it to mount your beard on the plaque.

    First Turkey...EVER!

I've seen my share of coyotes on the opening day and considered just hunting them and go after the turkeys on another day. However, I took the advice of you guys and stayed with the turkey hunting. :smiley_bril: I put out a jake and a strutting tom decoy (don't have a hen, yet) and sat down...

    Turkey Hunting the Valleys

Hey everyone, New to the site already learning a bunch of new stuff. I'm hunting in Southeastern Ohio pretty close to the Athens area and as anyone whose familiar with this area knows it is extremely hilly. I was just seeing if anyone had advice as to turkeys preference when it comes to...

    Turkey Target

You all may have this already. We blew it up to normal turkey size and ran off several copies for our hunting folder. Cheap and a bit realistic for sighting in a pattern.

    Video of Kody's first turkey

Ok, so we don't have a future in TV, but I was fortunate enough to capture Kody's first tukey kill on video. My dad was with us and he was sitting in the back. I wish I got more pre-shot footage, but it all kind of happened fast since the birds came in silent. The one decoy blew over from...
