Unrelated to my original post, does any one know of anywhere to camp that’s near the lake and reasonably priced and has electric hookup to charge the boat batteries? The campground on the lake is $64 a night and to me that’s outrageous for a spot to tent/ hammock camp.

Deer season is over, and ice is nonexistent. Couple months until turkey season, so I’ll be occupying my time with steelhead. Went 7 for 9 yesterday morning. Not often conditions line up as well as the did for early February.

Pick and choose your days as far as wind, weather and boating traffic, but Lake St Clair is doable in a kayak (I’ve done it plenty of times) and has a very healthy population of both species you’re after.
