Heart Broken! Someone come through with a spot for me and just got an email today that we can't hunt it because they want to hunt the big buck that is on the property those days! Now back to square one. Anyone still out there that may be able to help!

Hey guys. I am coming to Trumbull county in Dec to visit family. Military here and looking to hunt for 2 days. Would appreciate any heads up on deer movement. I know it's late season bow but looking to even whack a doe.

Yeah I heard it gets hunted a good bit. Should be wide open that time of the year I am hoping.

I lived in MS when pretty much the same law was passed. I have a .44 rifle and it works well out to about 75 yards. It is a single shot H&R. Those are nice and cheap and the barrels can be swapped. Not too familiar with the new OH law but are 35 Whelens allowed? If so that's the round you want...

Have 2 days of leave to hunt late Dec, week of X-Mas. Have no days to scout and really don't want to wander around the woods and spot and stalk with a bow! Anyone ever hunted Shenango? Seems to be the closest place to where I am staying?

I love waterfowl hunting but believe it or not it is amazing here in CA. However, deer here, not so much unless you draw a tag. I am hoping to get on some private land close to my folks but that is 50/50 chance.

I tried call a few bow shops today and outfitters to see if they had any doe management hunts....no luck there.

That's funny! These days if you did that they would court martial you. Sad I know.......so does OH still have that program that links hunters with farmers?

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the Shenango Area on maps today and found some areas that may be ok. Trying to stay out of the bigger areas. I did find out Grand River had a pretty bad deer count this year. Gonna keep working some more on maps but anymore info would be great!

I am staying in Trumbull Co but I don't care where I hunt. Will travel for deer...lol. Biggest issue is no time to scout.
