    2015 Rut Report, County, Conditions

I'll be out in the morning to try my luck. I might run a drag line along the edge of the corn to my stand.

    2015 Rut Report, County, Conditions

Saw a group of three does in the field at work this morning at 815am. Later at around 1030am and little 4 point buck zig zagged across the field with his nose to the ground looking for love.

    Big Man Treestand

I don't want to be limited to just straight trees with a climber. I believe using a hang on would allow me to hunt nearly any tree ?

    Big Man Treestand

I'm really leaning towards getting a hang on. I'd like to be able to set it up and leave it, but also be able to easily take down and move it. The thought of having to pack in and pack out a climber every hunt just does not sound very convenient to me.

    Big Man Treestand

No, i dont have to have one right now. Im just contemplating the idea. I havnt really seen any hang on or even climber type stands that look like they would be comfortable for a big guy.

    Deer sightings

No acorns around me. I have a stand that's between a corn field and an alfalfa field that I've been hunting. I got a doe opening morning there and have seen deer both times I've been in it since.

    Deer sightings

What type of food sources is everyone seeing the most deer. Is anyone seeing deer in cut or even standing beans still this year? I'm hunting over corn mainly but I also have a stand up near a bean field that I havnt hunted yet.

    Tickling Of The Tines

Just a little tickle is all I plan to do. I figure it can't hurt. I'm hunting the edge of a corn field 40 yards from a river crossing. With a grassy clearing between the field edge and the river at my 3 o'clock.

    Tickling Of The Tines

Has anyone tried any rattling, grunting, bleating yet this season. I plan on doing a little but of tickling of the tines tomorrow morning. I know there is a lot of bucks in my area and they should all be hard horned by now. So they aught to be doing some sparing? I can't wait!

Unfortunately there are not any oaks where I hunt

BEANS OR CORN for day 1

Normally I hunt the BEANS for the opener. But ,as those of you in central Ohio have noticed, the beans have turned early this year. This make me ponder trying out the CORN for the opener. What do you think? Any thoughts, ideas, or obervations will be appriciated.
