The only sign of the rut I saw was a couple young bucks chasing does around 11/10 and 11/11. But they start early and often. I know I had a monster buck in my driveway which is a rare occurrence. I think that was around 11/15 at dark. I guess we will see if there is any action this coming...

Looks like I get to eat my fall turkey tag. While turkey hunting today I saw 8 doe all together near my tree stand. As I walked the property perimeter I saw at least two more does and also two bucks walking together on the neighboring property. I'd say the rut is over. Now for shotgun week!

I saw nothing today except for two turkeys and about 1000 freakin squirrels! Left at 11:30 too, just as the winds started picking up. I had view of a field over my shoulder and the whole woods in front of me. No deer anywhere. Depressing.
