    Been busy in the shop

I'm assuming by rift you mean grain run-out? that isn't really grain run out that you see. well, I suppose it could be depending on how you define it. if it were, these would never last, and I'm here to tell you these are tougher and heavier than the best Port Orford cedar ever grown. some of...

    Been busy in the shop

totally committed to new bow now. got her tuned up as good as I am able. I had to buy more lower spined shafts. These Surewood Douglas Fir shafts are superb quality. Ishi once said to Dr. Saxton Pope that "...any old stick will make a bow, but it takes a really good stick to make arrow." the...

    What's For Dinner?

yes indeed. fried egg standard equipment on my BLT, cheese, too. if I'm feeling particularly froggy, I'll caramelize the onions as well, which is totally worth the effort, btw.

    NRA

how did liberal demorats become so adept at wasting taxpayer money? not sure I understand the grounds for this lawsuit, other than to hassle the NRA out of existence, I mean.

    2019-nCoV (Coronavirus)

I'll bet they're already dosing that fucker with HCQ and Zink even though it doesn't work.

    2020 shrooms!

pretty productive day of shroomin'. I missed the mother load at this particular honey hole. lots of Chanterelles about 3-4 days past their prime, getting a little dry. I still cut 5 or 6 lbs, but surely left behind twice that. I did happen upon a beautiful flush of young Oyster mushrooms after I...

I agree, but "entertaining" just fit better with the metaphor.

    2019-nCoV (Coronavirus)

but, but, this just proves that masks and shutdowns and fear mongering works. :ROFLMAO: this pandemic has turned into a bad SNL skit. poorly written, poorly performed, yet still mildly entertaining.

    Look Out Hims Country.

idiots. :ROFLMAO: anyone suspect that drugs and alcohol might have been involved.

Teachers not going back to school.

well, I wasn't either, but I've read about it, listened to my Dad bitch about it. NCLB almost instantly made the decline of public education it a whole lot worse.

Teachers not going back to school.

this started waaay before the No Child Left Behind Act. the failure of public education really started back in 1965 when ESEA was passed, when the federal government got involved in funding primary and secondary education.

nah, I'll happily share the Tito's. Belvidere, not so much.

    What's For Dinner?

I have to state for the record that I "liked" your post with much trepidation. I appreciate the compliment very much, but considering this bizarre admission of your arousal from just seeing a picture of it, I'll be sure to never serve you this dish for fear of the repercussions. :oops...

Teachers not going back to school.

everything really is a matter of perspective, isn't it? admittedly, "biased" was not the best word to convey my meaning. "incomplete" is probably closer to what I meant. I agree the system is terrible and has to change. the nuanced point I was making is that teachers are a very small part of...

Teachers not going back to school.

Geezer, you surely didn't have to teach to the goddamned proficiency tests the way teachers have to today, especially for the core subjects. public school teachers in big urban districts don't have as much latitude as the general public might think in either their lesson plans or controlling the...
