Out here all day. Per the usual, I haven't seen a thing aside from evidence of hunters from a week or two ago.

Well, my first two days of hunting (in my entire life) are over. Yesterday I saw three doe in the distance. Today I saw woodpeckers. Barely even saw squirrels or anything. I know persistence is key, but I must say I'm quite jealous of you guys! Guess I have a lot to learn.

Zilch.

Moved deeper down the creek than yesterday, and set up on the other side. Found some fresh scrapes, but no activity yet. Day two...

After 0800 I saw dick-all. Sitting above where two creek gorges converge. There is a higher clear field to the north side, but it's private. Didn't see many scrapes or rubs though a few weeks ago I saw many tracks and scat. Should I move on in the morning or hold fast?

How late do you guys stay out?

Through my several times out scouting locations, and ultimately up to today when I first got out in the woods with my climber, every step I take seems loud as hell. On top of that I have no clue how to get to where I'm going in the dark without my light on. To get deep, I can't seem to find an...

Saw three does way off in the distance which I'm pretty sure were laughing at me climbing with this stand. This is my first day ever out to hunt. I figure I've screwed everything up by now, but I did find some old timer's homemade steps in a tree next to me so I guess this spot isn't 100% awful.

Thanks for the replies. Figure I won't get anything, but I hadn't come across any threads about them. Figured I'd ask about your experiences during them.
