I run my cameras in video mode about 95% of the time cuz I prefer action and like the added info it provides! I believe I will rethink my cam placement more though.

Yes it is interesting. May have to put mine higher. Will be alot easier with the cam mounts from the thread below.
I very seldom run my camera's in video mode. I never liked it as it kills the batteries faster. Of course maybe with the newer cameras that isn't as much of a problem.

I was told this by a buddy of mines hunting mentor. Crazy to see it in action. Will start hanging mine higher than what they are already!
Why is that funny? Obviously the cams are doing more harm then good. Even elevated, the deer will find it and probably do the same thing.
Back when I ran cams a lot, I used to complain about only getting one set of pics of mature deer. I believe I even started a thread on here asking the pro's how they do it. I guess now I might know why...
2 deer out of 100 spooked on the elevated cams, I'd say those are pretty good numbers. I wonder why Ric isn't getting those reactions on his.
Did you watch the video? Cameras with no batteries were triggering negative visual responses.
Weird, no negative reactions from these bucks as they stuck around for quite a while. The bedded buck slept in front of the camera for 3 hours.

I did. But anything you can do to reduce your odds of spooking game will help. If you have bait out and a red flash camera, the longer they stand there, the more likely they are to see it. Also, deer are curious creatures, and will investigate cameras and the smells and sounds associated with them.
I've had my best luck in recent years with black flash cameras, but they are limited on range. If you put some thought into hanging cameras and how you plan to use them, you can get the most out of red and black flash cameras.
