I usually get a nice blend of hickory and oak and some maple leaves to get a good smoke going. One trick I’ve been using for a long time is after smoking the clothes I will get down to my bloomers and roll in the cooler ashes and rub the ashes under my pits in my hair and in my crack ... I’ve never been winded. Killed a trophy 6 Point last year with my longbow and he never knew I was there. Shot him square in the brisket, ran 45 yards and piled up under a huckleberry tree. What a hunt.
