But while we're talking about selling out (and I don't think this is a thread hijack, as it fits with the topic being discussed), what about those of us shopping at Dick's and Field and Stream? Are we selling out? There was an uproar when Dicks pulled their AR's after one of the shooting incidents, and a bunch of us were like screw Dicks for not supporting, blah blah (yes, I was on that bandwagon). I no longer buy at Dicks, but I do shop Field and Stream, and go to the Field and Stream Deer and Turkey Expo, and thus have a free subscription to Field and Stream magazine.
I kind of feel like a sellout. But then again, I'm not so sure F&S is such a bad outfit. And do I really wanna throw that baby out with the bathwater?
We Americans, we have such short memories. We'll bomb you into oblivion, then Marshall Plan yer ass.

The American thing to do IMO is to shop local. Fuck the big names and keep your money local. Support your community and small business owners. Talk to the owner of that company, you might be surprised how many people are like us. Shopping local will have a much bigger impact then boycotting these big names.

Haven't purchased shit from Dicks since. Their fix to that was to make a separate entity, Field and Stream. Fugg then TOO.
Been in Dick's one time since the BS they pulled and haven't stepped foot in a field and stream store either.... Have a fishing buddy who works there and give him shit constently also lol....
I try to shop the local shops if they have what I need and then go to the Fin and the box stores if they don't have it.... Local gun shop gets the majorty of my spending money for shooting supplies.... I post there FB photos on here a lot from their deer contest as well....

Yeah that's what I figured as well....
Hopefully it gets worse before better for them....
I still wear the stuff I bought years ago because I cant afford to replace it, but told people for Christmas to please not buy me their gear. Should be a valuable lesson moving forward
