Trail camera question

Hey guys, I discovered yeterday that some low life gutless dickhole stole my camera and the bottom 2 sections of my ladder stand. That's a whole other rant that I'll spare you from but needless to say I now need to get a new camera. I'm done sinking money into something that can so easily grow legs so I'm going cheap from now on. So I'm looking a couple basic cams and was wondering if anyone has experience with either or both of these. The ones I'm looking at are the Wildgame Terra and the Moultrie micro spy cam. I realize neither is probably great but it's where I'm at. Any input you have is greatly appreciated!

A cam I have been using is a Primos easy cam or something along those lines. They are fairly inexpensive(talking 29.99 when F&S has sales on them). They are very functionable.

I have 2 willdgame cameras. They are ok but I've had issues. I went to check the card in one today after a week long wait and it had zero pictures. 500 pounds of corn got eaten by something at some point but the camera was off. Don't know if it shit it's self down in the cold or wtf happened but I didn't turn it off.

You may want to consider a decent camera and one of those locking systems. Sorry about losing one though that sucks.

I'm getting nicer cameras next year.

Damn that sucks! I'd stay clear of the wildgame cams, they are junk. I also have a Primos easy cam, works OK.

I've heard a lot of not so great things about the wildgame cams too. Another one I was looking at was the primos bullet proof which I think is similar to the easy cam. Only issue I have with the locking systems is it might keep it from getting stolen but it won't keep the type of asshole that screwed with my stand from destroying it for no good reason since all the vitals are still exposed. I hate humanity more with each passing day

I've run the cheap-o Tasco for a few years. For $30-40 I can't complain. Nothing special, takes pictures of things over my corn pile.

Someone bought me a Wildgame cam, it's sucks! Never works right and eats batteries.

These are some pics from my Tasco at night. Not bad IMO, and for the money...hard to complain. (Just formatted the card today, so it'll give a time/date stamp now)

I like my brownings and love my covert. Have a spartan cam on the way. Bought this little terra 6 the other day just as a back up cam and it seems to be okay for 35$. All of my other cams are in the 120-150$ range.

I bought a cheap wild game about 2 months ago and it has been working fine. I have a couple Browning cams that are more expensive that I like a lot. I have heard that the primos cams aren't bad for the money. Watch the sale ads from now till even after the 1 st of the year. Christmas deals and also closeouts you can sometimes score a decent camera at a cheap price.

Thanks for the input guys. Giles, I also have one of the tasco cams that does ok too. I always stick it in places that I think may be more likely to be messed with since it was cheap but of course it was my Spypoint that got ripped off. Just my luck. Nothing makes my blood boil more than a thief

The wild game seem to be luck of the draw for getting a good one or one that eats batteries and craps out. There are definitely some decent sales going right now, just need to pick one and go with it

My Browning Strike Forces have been tanks. The Bushnell Aggressor is also a good cam. I may get a Covert or Spartan this year. I hear good things about both. It Taylor likes it, I like it cause we're cool like that... 😂

It seems every pawn shop has them also...might be worth a stop to look at prices.

Bargain cave at cabelas always has them also.

No need to go crazy cheap if you can get a legit one at a good discount.

I picked up a Stealth Cam P12 last year for like $50 and it has worked well. Trigger speed is slow as shit but not a huge deal. And I picked up a Primos Proof 01 during Black Friday for $30 that has worked great so far

Been happy with my Spartans so far. Built great, battery life is excellent ( they take 12 AA's) and take great pics. I have one in the bottom that I haven't checked since opening day, need to get in there and pull it.

I bought two muddy pro cam 10s- like 60 bucks, comes with SD card and batteries. I like them for the cost.

Sounds like you need to bargain for some junk cameras. Use my camera mounts and put cameras on your "Cameras". Catch them fuggers.
I'll even mail you the camera mounts if you'd like. I have plenty of parts here to git it done. :smiley_coolpeace:

Central Ohio Huh? Your not far either!

I bought my first Stealth Cam this year. Pretty impressed with the pics and battery life!
