Well the past weekend didn't provide any harvests but I had the opportunity to film a younger 115" buck for nearly 30 minutes. He eventually made his way inside of 10 yards of my setup, I even drew on him twice just to go through my preshot routine. He was the only deer I saw Sunday morning but it was a great sit none the less!

I got a little trigger happy tonight and smoked a BB. I was also lucky enough to see my target buck up on a ridge with that awesome sunset! Seen 4 doe today, 4 bucks, and the button.

I love the pic of the tree, you can see where his body hit and the blood that came out of his mouth. I love hunting from the ground...such a rush!

Good job Giles! I have to get my little buck measured and turned in for the contest. I'll kill a doe and get us a youth bonus then that's all I can do.

How's everybody else doing?

How are the hunts, guys? I gave it hell and almost got it done multiple times from the ground with a traditional bow. I may be able to hunt Wednesday evening and this weekend is all about getting my son on his first deer. After that I'll be looking to fill the freezer on Nov. 30th. Good luck out there.

I haven't been hitting it hard by any means. The property I hunt has been getting pounded! I posted a little bit about it in the "Giles Den" thread. Been some nice bucks taken in the last week and I'm still the only one thats seen the big 8. Last year the first daylight anyone seen of him was a pic taken on Thanksgiving morning…

Damn...I've had a terrible year with the guns. I need to update my thread, but it pretty much makes me want to cry. So I've been avoiding it.

Who's still plugging away? I know Mike and I are still after it.

I've found where the deer have moved, just a hard spot to hunt. I'll still be hunting it the best I can the next two weekends!

BTW Chad, not let down brother. It's hunting, not killing. Glad to of had you on the team! I wish you'd had a swing at that beautiful deer you were watching. At least you aren't chasing a ghost. I feel like I am...

I'm still hunting. It's not looking good for a good buck. I'm at brown is down, especially since I'm using my longbow.

I've killed a BB and two doe, wife is hounding me about more meat. I've got more corn than I know what to do with...just no motivation to drag it out in the woods. Been driving around with a bobcat scoop in the back of the truck since Friday...fuggen birds found it today, so I gotta move it tomorrow.
