If I try to sell a muzzle loader to an out of state buyer, where would I find laws/regulations for that state gun sales? So far I have been told "no regulations on black powder arms" to "do not sell any muzzle loader via shipping, just do a face to face sale". :smiley_confused_vra

When I bought my muzzle loader from Natchez, they shipped it to me. No FLL and no background check. Not sure if that helps.

This is not professional advice but what I would personally do is go to Cabela's website and look at the shipping restriction for muzzleloaders. It should say what states they cannot ship to. There is a legal reason for that. If they can't ship to those states I would venture to say you can't either. I know one of the reasons is that some states have banned 50 caliber rifles.

I think a muzzleloader is not classified as a gun. So you can ship the actual muzzleloader but not the powder.
