From the look of his setup it was probably in some open country which could be why the antlers are so white. Or maybe it's just bc it's just out of velvet. Either way it's a giant

My buddy from Hocking and I were just talking last week about hunting north Dakota next year since he lives out there. This has fueled the fire a little bit Lol. I just want a crack at a decent buck in velvet.

Was it killed this year? Its certainly not in a winter coat yet. Looks like the shot was just above the shoulder blade. An inch lower might not have gotten thru the lungs.

Killed this year. North Dakota archery season opened on the 4th.
