Night time pics

Just saw a post on another site that had a great night time pic....it was color and very good quality. It was from USA trail cams and was the "flare" model. What I'm leery of is the fact that it uses a white strobe in order to get such a high quality pic in total darkness. Has anyone ever used that particular camera and does it spook the deer. Does anyone use another camera, such as one from Exodus, that takes really good night time pics?

Someone posted a video on here not long ago about the negative effect of just the camera. It was very informational. That being said, I'd never introduce a white light to the woods in efforts to gather a picture.

I have tons of great pics from my old white flash cams, but rarely any long term sequences or "photo albums" of big bucks. I've had cams in the woods since you needed to go develop film and there's no way I'd go back to a white flash cam. I've reached the point where I plan to phase out my red IR cams and go to black IR cams also. Nearly all of my best nighttime pics of deer are the follow-up shots on a burst setting where the deer saw the first glow, then looked at the cam for the follow-up. Over time (a few years) bucks that I develop history with tend to get camera shy. I have to ask myself "if they never saw the cam glow, would they still get camera shy?". No way to truly answer that other than give it a try anecdotally.

I agree, the white flash cams take the best night pics.
We have personally never had an issue with cams scaring deer off our property or away from a spot. My buddy is a cam fanatic and runs 30+ cams on the farm during the fall. We get many many many repeat pics of the core deer on the same cam location over and over day after day. If that is where he is living, you will get lots of pics.
We even specifically move some of our favorite white flash cams (the discontinued Cudde Capture) over the best community scrapes to get great night pics.
I think deer just get used to them. Hell, they've been seeing them since they were fawns.

An example of repetitive night pics of mature deer.
These 2 (there was actually a 3rd mature one I can't find the pics of now) that visited this lick about every day and night that year. Repetitive pics one after the other. No negative impact and it is flashing right in their faces. You get the best pics that way!! lol

Yea the 6x5 is the same deer as in my avatar (from 2015). I bow killed him that fall.
As for the 8 point, I shot him the following year with the bow. He was a 9 point then.
