Wasn't my intent to knock WA. I would have posted it if it was my dad and his buddies. It's just a good illustration of a what I think is/was a dangerous drive.

I wasn't taking a dig at them either. It's the chance you take when you drive public land. I personally love deer drives and wish everyone could experience a good drive at least once in their life. They work, they are safe, and are a hell of a lot of fun! It takes a group, that has to be my favorite part of it.

I thought their public land gun hunting deer video was crazy and dangerous. Their bowhunting public land DVD was entertainment at its finest and much safer and enjoyable.

Says a lot about someone who would market that kind of video....

Kind of reminded me of the kid and his rabbit hunting video a while ago....

Deer drives are a blast. When I was a kid we always did deer drives during rifle season. It is alot of fun. They are completely safe as well. A well orchestrated drive doesn't involve shooting at running deer. If the standers are at a good location and the drivers don't push the deer hard, good shots are relatively easy to come by. Actually with our drives the drivers would get as many deer as the standers.

I know alot of people think that driving doesn't involve skill, but I know we put alot of thought and effort into setting up good drives. I miss hunting that way. We still do some, but not like we used to. Most of the one's we do now are just with a few people.

Still beats all the other hunting videos where they have 5 million sponsors.

Ok, name 5 million sponsors that are attached too a hunting show??? I'll wait lol

All I'm saying is if you're a legit hunting show, why would you put out a boondoggle of a hunting experience like this???

Sarcasm, J. Because they can do what they want, without sponsors. And apparently they are doing well.

There would be serious repercussions if I had bullets flying over me like that. Fugg that. I loive putting deer drives on, but like I said, we are pretty anal about knowing where to shoot. And the whole running like Usain Bolt then stopping to pull up on a running deer is just plain stupid and dangerous.

And that is why I stay home during gun season.

Deer drives aren't my thing any way. Nothing against guys that do them though!
