I don't know how you fuggers are still married and can afford bird hunting! I'm in Xenia for work and probably just committed suicide when I checked out at Cabela's. Wife will murder me!

In all seriousness though, when you are looking at new gear (second or third hand is fine for me) where are you looking? I've been scouring Craigslist and the classifieds here at TOO and have yet to see anything I felt the need to get. I just bought a new blind and pair of waders, both on sale.

Where are you buying rigging for dekes, coats, dekes, wind socks and stuff? Trying to stay budget friendly for my first year.

And I'm just down the road a little farther then Jon. I'll be sitting around with a couple of cold ones tomorrow evening, just saying, doors open.

I usually buy brand new stuff. I just wait until I have several Cabela's gift cards and plenty of club visa points saved up. It takes a bit of the sting away from the big purchases.

I Texas rig all my decoys. Buddy of mine has a 4 oz egg sinker mold. We seek out sources of lead... Old window weights are a good one... Then kick back drinking beers as we pour a bunch of weights. For decoy line, I've used heavy monofilament and even weed whacker string. Anymore though I just buy the rigging kits from Rig Em Right, minus the weights of course. Comes with all the cord and crimps and swivels you need.

I buy my shotgun shells by the 250-round case. Most companies offer steep rebates right around duck season and free shipping is easy to find as well. I usually save 50-80 bucks per case of Hevi Metal. One case usually lasts me at least two seasons.
