Nothing... I'm stumped on this one guys.. I know the shot is fatal, but with no blood trail it's impossible to find this deer.. I've walked this entire hillside

Sorry to hear that you haven't found it yet ...are sure it wasn't a liver shot I've tracked a few in snow that only bleed a few spots and went a hell of a long way onyx reason I found them was the tracks in the snow....hope you find it

Backed out tonight.. getting more eyes for tomorrow, and still trying to get a dog involved

Dang! Sorry to hear you haven't found him yet! Deers gotta be dead and maybe more fresh eyes and clearer head you'll find him in the morning! Good luck tomorrow and keep us posted!

Also a lot of times they will make a big loop.

Yup... happened to me a few years ago, arrow looked very similar to yours. He looped around on me. I found him six months later about a half mile from the shot, in the exact opposite direction from the way he ran. It was like he still wanted to get to where he was heading when I shot him.
