First time turkey hunting

Headed out in the morning for my first Turkey hunt. My neighbor who I consider an expert woodsman is showing me the ropes. Wish me luck!

It takes a lot of patience to overcome the boredom of sitting in one position, for hours at a time.
A ground blind makes it easier and more relaxed. At the end of every turkey season, I swear I'm not going to hunt turkeys next year....then the season rolls around and I can't stay out of the woods.

Had a great time. We sat about 2 hours from 30 minutes before sunrise. Then walked and called the rest of the time. Only had a hen call back once. It rained like a mofo last night…maybe that was the issue. But spring is a great time to be in the woods, nothing beats being comfortable while sitting…or walking. I’ll gather some gear, practice my calls and see how I do next spring.
