First Rut Activity

I witnessed a doe being followed by a buck, this morning. This is the first time, this year, that I've witnessed any rut activity. :) She came to 6 yards, but her boyfriend kept wondering off and never came close enough for a shot. It's early and hopefully I'll get a shot at him. (y)

Yep, she had me from left to right, but never spooked. :) She came in from downwind and had me from about 30ish yards, then proceeded to look for me. As long as you don't move or change positions when they're not looking, they seem to be fine. If you change positions, when they look away, then when they look back, they'll know somethings up and off the go. :sneaky: I've had them "peg" me before, but I don't move and don't make eye contact....they seem to be fine.

Last year, a week after I had shot a buck, this guy walks by. He stops, looks up and walks on by like nothing was going on and he had somewhere to be. (y)
