Dilemma

I have a dilemma developing. My son's first shotgun was a Remington 870 express youth model 20 ga. He is very attached to it and now that he has started a family wants to share it with his daughter/kids to come. My daughter has been using it since Tyler moved up to a 12 ga years ago. She is very petite and will always need a youth model gun. She shoots left handed but has grown accustomed to shooting it opposite. Tyler is willing to buy her a new gun and I will help out. Does anyone have any suggestions for a left handed youth model 20 ga? They are hard to find.

BTW: the Remington 20 ga we have now is a real shooter...especially for turkeys. It is a 40 yard gun.

That is very difficult. My youngest daughter is left-handed. I ended up buying a used youth Stoeger Condor over/under for her to use. Pretty tough to find something in a pump or semi. Browning makes some bottom ejecting shotguns, but I don't think they make a youth.

She actually doesn't want to switch to a left handed gun because she is used to using RH. But then she has never used a LH and doesn't know how much easier it would be.

I sometimes carry it for a slug gun because of my T-Rex arms.

I bought my kids the express youth and I left it in the garage for no kidding 3 days and it has freaking surface rust on it. It's a good shooter but dang. I'd look at the Benneli I've heard a lot of good stuff bout it. If a single shot is acceptable I'd look at the Thompson Center... The choke is going to make the average 20 a shooter!!! Tough choice Mike but I'd get her something that she likes the feel of, the good thing is she can tell from experience if she likes the fit and then you can choke it to your likings and if need be have it back bored and sleeved! Just my 2 cents! She's welcome to shoot my kids gun!

I was going to say benelli also. The M-2 comes in a youth left handed but there around 1300$ new. Also might want to check out Ithaca for the 37 in 20ga.

I guess your budget would dictate what you would be looking at as well....

But my take is if the Remington is working why not just stick with it? Buy another one and hit the woods....

She is fine with that but she shoots left handed. Remington does not offer a LH 20 ga....compact or full size. Just trying to find something more convenient for her.
