I don’t miss it, but I need to stir some money up for the old man. I talked to a few people yesterday that didn’t have a clue what was going on and wanting to help. So I’ll deal with the bullshit for this situation, then I’m out again!
Yup, had to be a government/state photo ID. So now they have my license number and everything. Ever watch any of the GW shows? I swear they just surf FB to bust people.
Shoulda just sent them a pic of your junk & be done with it.

I still have an account and might log in every few months if Jessica or someone post's something i want to see. Other than that I completely deleted the app off my phone. Life is WAY better without any of it. Especially since there's all this talk of creating a social credit system to monitor people on platforms like Facebook, Google, Amazon echo and Siri to give them a score and use that to determining they can buy a gun or not.
social media is the plague of the 21st century. never been on Facebook or any of it, including twitter. this site is the closest thing to "social media" that I partake in. could be why I don't have any friends.

Never had it, never felt the need. If I'm worried about how someone is doing, I'll call or visit them. And I definitely dont want anybody else in my business. If they're concerned, they can call me or visit.
Anymore, with the social credit bullshit, facial recognition, data mining, privacy intrusions... I try to avoid the grid as much as possible. Unfortunate how modern life pretty much dictates that you have to have some sort of a digital footprint. I just do my best to keep mine as inconspicuous as possible.

Say is ain't so Dave , I've waited three years on youuuuuuu !...lol.. Actually, I don't blame you. There's times I just wanna say fuck it . The older I get the smaller I want my world to be. I do enjoy my political bullshit memes, my deer flying & cooking pics and such, but there's times I really don't care what everyone & their kids are doing. ( not to be rude ), such is life anymore. It wasn't that long ago that none of us could have foreseen the technological advances that have progressed into a wild & all the more uncontrollable world. I assume I'll keep at it... until the cops come a knock'n.

Facebook can be somewhat the same as what you see here, just a different audience. This time of year my feed is full of trail camera pics from different TC pages, fishing, hunting, local shit, marketplace, etc.. What you don't like you can block or just scroll past. We use it a lot still to pass on what our family is up to for family that isn't nearby. Still not the same as a busy forum of buddies but when you have a fucking slow computer program at work it helps pass time. It does get old though and you do find yourself as a robot clicking LIKE on shit you really didn't even look at LOL, well at least I can admit it.

Reading this thread because a lot of the reasons I quit FB was to get away from my triggers. The angry life is comforting and we now have multiple threads here that lush my buttons. I'm gonna have to stop visiting those threads. But it's so easy to just click and read! Ugh...fuck today's world. Country needs a reset.

I hear you. I quit for a while, then slowly started getting drawn back into it after checking on a few people I felt I needed to. For the most part I have unfollowed a lot of news and things that make my blood boil and have a lot of outdoors related content. But friends post shit and then something pops up and you get drawn back in with current events. Now this morning I'm posting shit telling people to unfriend me if... Damn it's a drug that needs cut off.
