Deleting FB...

I hear you. I quit for a while, then slowly started getting drawn back into it after checking on a few people I felt I needed to. For the most part I have unfollowed a lot of news and things that make my blood boil and have a lot of outdoors related content. But friends post shit and then something pops up and you get drawn back in with current events. Now this morning I'm posting shit telling people to unfriend me if... Damn it's a drug that needs cut off.

Exactly, just quit a couple months ago, won't go back,

FB = Poison. Plain and simple.

I keep in touch with my 'actual' friends. Deleting your data is a PITA, if you just quit they keep your data resident, you have to go and delete it. Deleted 2009ish to 2015, everything 20' and '19. Individually posts and pics and videos.

Waiting for Trumps SM platform or Parlor. Any SM platform that promotes censorship is sideways with a functional representative democracy.... including IG.

Never did My Face or Spacebook. Never will. Don't Twitt either. I'm amazed at times I even do this! Ready to use my cell phone to find areas with no coverage to move to also, then I can throw out the cell phone electronic monitoring service. Don't get the paper either. Funny, the only people who do around here are old folks and the paper and print got smaller! That's how out of touch the News is. Oh and I don't have a TV but I do have a wood stove in the living room. Only radio is in the cars. We are married 33 years and are empty nester's with no pets and my wife and I get along even better then ever!
I don't know how she does it!!

It's very easy. And sometimes it starts to get to me also. I don't watch any news anymore, I don't listen to talk radio, I deleted my twitter and never open Instagram, if I am on FB it's to look at the groups I belong to and marketplace, I never scroll my news feed.

The biggest change for me was after I moved. Despite being in the most African American state in the nation besides the USVI I feel much more removed from the BS. The overwhelming majority of the African Americans here are rednecks and do not possess the same mentality as their inner city counterparts. Without large urban population centers spread across the state there isn't the likelihood of that mentality shifting anytime soon. Elections at all levels are heavy republican and not the independent republican kind but very conservative republicans. God and Guns still reign supreme here and being a cock will still get you punched in the mouth. If shit ever pops off I feel highly confident that the majority of MS will be largely uninvolved, and if involvement becomes necessary it will be overwhelmingly swift and substantial. In short, many northern states will be reduced to piles of ash before MS sees any problems. Now removed from all of that I don't worry about it anymore. It's almost like the mentality that I'm sure most Alaskans have about the lower 48. They don't care what goes on elsewhere but if the day ever comes to start fighting they're more than ready to the point of daring a mother fucker to try.
