My sister lives in Bradford and we are trying to find a family friendly (we have 3, they have 4) campground that is a happy middle ground for a weekend family get together. Looking for some recommendations for July/August destinations that is mid-Ohio/western-Ohio that doesn't require more than 3hrs travel time. I am only used to Eastern/SE Ohio.

This one is on our list...

We've heard good things about it. Not sure if we will get to it this year or not though.
Not much to do there. Park camper. Maybe a swing set. Beach area. Fishing. Keep in mind this is a lake which has had major algae bloom issues. I know they have made great progress on the turn around. I'd be leery of swimming in it though.

So does Lake Erie...

I did look a bit closer though as I thought they had some family friendly hiking trails and they don't list it. Maybe I'm wrong. I'll have to ask the wife again, she's the one that does most of the research. I just drive.

Indian Lake is similar to Grand Lake in that they offer camping, swimming, and fishing. Definitely a lot more camping spots available than Grand Lake. Memory is fuzzy but it seemed like Indian Lake had a larger playground. Definitely has a larger store.

What about Columbus area? We camped there years ago. Name of the lake is escaping me right now. Seemed like it was up on the north end of Columbus. Not Buckeye Lake.

Look up Berkshire campground. Swimming pool, cheesey putt putt, fishing pond and onsite restaurant that serves beer etc

WEEEEELLLL it has the consistency of bean soup and smells like your in a dairy farm lagoon. It is beyond the color of green grass and has moved on to that dark hunter green or darker!!! A couple years ago a dog jumped in and the owner went in after him, both came out, dog died couple days later and owner went to hospital for respiratory and skin conditions.
