Talking Christmas before the peak of the rut ?? Seriously ?? lol

Yes sir. Family needs the ideas for shopping in the very near future!

How about knives? Anyone partial to a knife or have their eye on one they would want? I have a Case XX for hunting. Thinking of whether to add another knife for either hunting or daily carrying?

Let’s hear what you have today or wish you had.

Case trappers always make nice gifts

I wont be buying anymore case knives after discovering Great Eastern Cutlery made in Titusville PA. They are a little more expensive but are equal to the quality of the 1970s and later case knives. This run of gec model 81 came out really nice. I got the green jigged bone for my dad for christmas.

For a fixed blade check out lt wright made in Wintersville OH. This next gen would make an awesome hunting knife.

I want a lots of smart wool medium weight wool socks. Like enough to fill a drawer. A quarter side of 6 oz leather. I also need metric wrenches and sockets.

I never understood buying knives at high prices. I need a good sharp knife I can dress a deer out then stick it in the ground so I can find when done. My Buck 2 blade folder is fine and my Kershaw folder work just fine for me. But everyone to their own.
Tools for the best value is Kobolt line from Lowes with lifetime warranty the best tools made. Been told the Kobolt tools are made by Snapon but not sure of it. Christmas time Lowes runs specials that can't be beat. Their gear wrench sets are 2nd to no one.

My latest know is a Benchmade AFO II in special edition gray. It's pricey but a really cool knife.

I highly suggest the Darn Tough wool socks for a stocking stuffer! As for knives, I'd like to have another Buck knife, preferably a fixed blade. The Buck 191 Zipper is on my list.
