Its obvious in all forums that deer numbers are down.lots of guys complainv about deer sights.i just don't see why anyone would want to take it upon themselves to shoot more than 1 deer a year so the numbers can rebound.there is only one reason why guys wont

It all depends on the area a guy hunts. I killed two deer. A doe and a buck. The property and surrounding properties can handle a few doe killed every year.

I see the reason, people like to eat venison. One of the farms I hunt has an abundance of does, I killed one there, and I'll kill another one on my own land if I get the chance, haven't killed one there in 2 years.

Voices are always louder when it's complaining. People don't go searching the Internet to tell people how good they have it. They use it as a tool to find answers when they have problems.

Thanks Patrick good to know i finally can say what i mean.there might be some hurt feelings then
........Na I don't see anybody getting butt hurt here. Pretty much the only forum that you can have a discussion with being worried something might get locked up. So pull your lawn chair up to the campfire and say what's on your mind. Can be a bit rough but it's a good group of guys here.

I think a one deer limit from public land would be reasonable . But To push that for statewide deer harvest is a bit much. Public land , and some private lands have suffered the worst....But there are still a lot of deer overall statewide. Not as many as 10 yrs ago, but overall still a good amount.

Yeah it's a great place for freedom of expression. Feel free to say what you mean. Just understand that when someone responds in kind that street goes both ways.

We had a one deer limit before so I don't know why it wouldn't fly now! I agree though Jake that some areas do have higher numbers and could probably have a 2 deer limit but like I said before, FB and Nation "fucking" Wide won't let the ODNR go the wrong direction! Lol
Darrin, the reason you have to have a limit or written in the laws on a yearly basis is because there has to be accountiblity for those who don't take their heads out of their asses!

I agree though that antler restrictions are a bit much but shorten seasons and bag limits I'm all for! As for baiting, good luck with that! For them(ODNR) to make it illegal is like them saying they lied when they said "based on their findings it's not an advantage and I don't see them admitting that! Secondly they created this monster and they'll have a devil of a time stuffing it back into that bag!!! TOO many are doing it now and TOO many will continue to do it till they get caught! So many are doing it now you have to or you'll just get left behind and the deer your after is headed for the neighbors taxi before you have taken your first sit! It is what it is. I've never had to use bait and relied on pinches and doe bedding areas and oak ridges. Now you pretty much have to "out bait" everyone around you just to level the playing field! Lol

It be crazy out there!

I bait like a sum bitch. Don't hunt over it myself, but use it to manipulate deer movement. I've easily fed 10 tons of corn in the last 2 years. And I support the banning of baiting. Shorter season? Good with me. Antler restrictions? Hate them. Horrible idea. One deer limit? Sure if all you guys that don't eat your deer give them to me...

I made a corn run today. Bought a bag of ear corn for the squirrels to eat in the front yard. I think I'll put up a pop up tomorrow and pretend I'm hunting.
No offense, Dick. But don't you hunt over or on the trail leading to your trophy rock in the early season?
