That is an impressive feat for your buddy Mao. Very cool and heckuva buck.

Yeah it was pretty crazy. He called me at about noon and said he just watched two big ones chase a doe into a little wood lot and to hurry down to his place and we would both set up on then at opposite ends and wait for them to come out. I had just gotten my daughters ready to go outside to play in the snow because I was off on a snow day, so I couldn't make it down. He said the entire stalk took about two and a half hours and which an entire hour required him to lay flat on his back. The high winds in his face and ice dropping from the trees allowed him to sneak within range. He had a doe bust him right before he shot and was lucky she just stood and stared him down. The giant buck was bedded only five feet from the buck he shot, but there was brush in the way of him. It was a well deserved buck as he has definitely put his time in.

boarhead i think this deer was in the 180s alot of people saying over 200 but i know the guy that shot it, and a buddy of mine passed that deer up at 50 yards because of the wind. not taking anything away from the deer its a stud for sure but not quite what everyone is saying. jay has killed some big deer.
