It's getting time to be making reservations somewhere for summer vacation. Last year, the wife & I went down to Hilton Head, S.C. & fell in love with the ocean. Would have been nice to actually have a room facing the ocean. This year, I'm in contact with a condo owner in N. Myrtle Beach that is six floors up overlooking the ocean & swimming pools down below. I'll reserve that in a few days for the end of June.

Who else is getting the itch ?

I'm getting the itch to kill a couple longbeards 😂. I've been to Myrtle Beach about 15 times, nothing to see there anymore, it is nice though.

We have our usual condo in OIB booked again this year. This will be our 3rd year in that condo and 4th consecutive trip to OIB. We started the family vacation tradition after Kaydence was born and we plan on continuing our annual beach trip as long as we are able to do so financially. My family did not vacation growing up, but my wife's did and they made a lot of great memories doing so. For what the trip costs, it's a drop in the bucket for a lifetime of great family moments and memories.

I'm bummed due to not having plans for a vacation this summer. We have always enjoyed our trips but have skipped them the last couple years due to Mason having so many freaking animals to take care of. That's a drag...

We're going to Charleston SC beginning of April for our sons wedding, rented a house on isle of palms for 3 days on the beach....
It's a short quick trip....
August we're taking a cruise.... The daughter and her BF are going with us.... Somewhere in the Caribbean.... I'll let you know when they tell me where we're going.... Got the booze package and that's all I cared to hear about lmao....
Might be taking a quick weekend getaway with some fishing buddies to lake Norman mid April..... We're in the talking phase on that lol....

Isle of Palm is where we stayed when we went to Charleston. That is a beautiful area. Downtown Charleston is flat out cool.

What is OIB?

We are looking into a few options, top of the heap currently is Indiana Sand dunes national park area and WIliamsburg VA area.

Nice plans people have! Charleston is very neat...also a very complex city historically. Love visiting there.

Fam and I have several camping trips, including a road trip through the UP! Gonna hit sleeping bear, painted lakeshore, copper harbor, then wrap around sconsin and wrap up at Indiana dunes.

I'm a fan of HHI as we've vacationed there a bunch of times... laid back, lots of good food and booze lol... Great beaches and no crowds like most of the other locals....

Headed to Florida later this month for fishing and golf. Later this summer we have booked 10 days in Washington State for some hiking in Mt Olympic and Mt Ranier National Park.

I'd like to make it to Mingo. Hit the usual family reunion in SE Kentucky for a long weekend. Be nice to use the camper more. The wife and I discussed taking multiple long weekend camping trips this year rather than a week or 10 days in one destination.

You will be making it to Mingo, and I'm parking my truck 100 yards away from the fire[emoji23]

Looking at doing our first real vacation this year. We had a few unexpected expenses lately, so we will see how that ends up working out funds wise. My kids have never done Hocking Hills, so that's a must this summer. But we would like to venture out of state with or without the camper this year. We also plan to do a Cedar Point trip with the camper along with a Kelly's Island stay.

Summers are going to better now that my youngest is 7! Finally over that hump...gotta take advantage before my oldest starts to hate spending time with us, lol. Should be a hell of a summer for memories... We will also have our 16 year old nephew with us all summer from AK. So it'll be cool to get him out to see things.
