LD, the last pic in your first group you posted is of a wide dandy of a buck. Looks to be some 4-5 years ago. Did anyone kill him? Had to be a Booner IMO.
Great pics, love the first couple the best. Thanks for sharing.
I just like this one. Brandon and I set up a few cams in south central Iowa last year. This is one of them, and the deer is well over 50 yards from the cam.
I hunted this deer very, very hard. I had spent 12 hours in the stand the previous day. Hunted until nearly 1pm on this day. Soon after getting home my phone beeped, and there he was. That's 25 yards broadside...
He sold his Iowa farm to a fella that wanted BEC's on the property. He showed us around when we set up the cameras for the absentee landowner, and yes I've met him a couple of times. BTW, those farms (Drury's place was across the road), are not at all like hunting Ohio. I saw more "shooter bucks" in 3 or 4 hours of running around there than I did the entire season here at home.
I think these pics are sort of funny. I have a cam or two out in our little woods just about year 'round. We rarely have deer on those cams. This particular day my neighbor was harvesting the surrounding corn. I was butchering a deer about 100 yards away from this cam in my shop as is evident by me dragging the carcass remains by the cam to the ditch... Deer are funny.
