Well since it won't fall out of the sky I'll do it the hard way.
This is what the pumpkins looked like Tuesday afternoon when I turned on the water.


Ran for a few hours and blew a buried 2" line apart. Got a hoe in this morning and fixed the line and got the water running again.


I put a gauge on to check the pressure at the field and was still making over 30 lbs 12-1300 feet from the well and 40 ft elevation.

I've had enough of growing stuff on plastic, I don't see me doing that for pumpkins. Haven't needed to irrigate pumpkins in several years, hopefully after this year it'll be awhile again.

The big investments were made years ago. Well with a big(3hp) submersible pump, buried 2" water lines.
