Have some bad news guys. Due to lack of nutrients one of the male chocolates has passed away. We are now hand feeding a few of the smaller ones and trying to prevent anymore loses. Will keep everyone updated...

I was hoping that wouldn't happen, but when a litter of this size happens these things come up.... Sorry too hear this, hope the rest of them make it......

That's the problem with large litters. In the photos the mom doesn't look to be bulging with milk. Is she producing much?

The bitch is producing milk more so in the lower tits than the top. But her top two tits are coming in now (with milk). Went to the vet today and everything is good with mom and puppies. Had a full work up on mom done and everything is in the normal scale. Puppies all had great heart beats and seem healthy (except for the smallest yellow). Just have to tube feed the little yellow female to make sure she has the best chance to make it. The vet said she has a good chance but nothing is certain. If any updates happen I will let you guys know.

What awesome dogs you have! Congrats on having such a large multi-colored litter. Sorry to hear of one passing though. Thanks for sharing the pics!

So fellas, do I keep this girl or not??? Here is the background for those who don't know. I (my wife) has 2 Chihuahua's that are 8 yrs old, I have the sire who is a 3 yr old black lab, we have a 27 month old son and a 4 month old daughter...

How crazy am I if I add another dog into this house? How badly may I regret not taking her down the road? Lets hear some pros and cons from those who can be more objective since they aren't as close to the litter.
