20 Feet Up - Safety Harness

This looks like it could be a hot seller, especially with bowhunters. I really like how the strap sits low and out of the way. It appears like a solution to the ever-so-common "I can't shoot behind me" problem that is associated with most traditional safety harnesses. I'm not sure what keeps you from falling out of it if you fall head-first, though. And he doesn't really mention anything about the use of a lineman's strap with it. Either way, it's definitely a product I'll have to keep an eye on this season.

While the concept is good, I'm not sure how much I like it. I would worry about the harness wanting to work its way down when you have on real bulky clothes and I don't like the idea of the metal clip being in the front. And like you said Jim, what if you fell out of the tree head first?

I kind of like the looks of the Tree Spider Harness. They had one at Ohio Valley Trade and they are very nice and lightweight. I like that they don't have a waistband and the lineman rope loops are down low.

I tried on a Tree Spider harness a few months ago and I thought it was great. It didn't come with a lineman's rope, though. Not sure what's up with that.

That and it was a good bit more than the muddy.

Amazon has the Mossy Oak one for $139 But the one in Realtree AP is like $180.. Sheesh. I wonder why the pricing difference just for a camo pattern..

Yea, that's pretty stupid IMO. The one that I tried on was not the vest-style... It was all black straps, similar to the Muddy harness. What I really liked about it were the speed buckles on the leg and chest straps. Once adjusted to your body size, you can be in and out of that thing in under 10 seconds!
