Great point on the browse. I guess my point is that a wide open mature woods may not be the place to focus. Of course, someone else on here may feel different.

Also, yes corn gets expensive. Especially when the damn turkey and coon find it.

Talk to local farmers that have already harvested, we get a good 10 100 lb bags every yr by getting ears of dropped corn from the fields.

I've always heard black locust seed pods are a big ticket too.

I've read that, but I haven't seen the evidence in the one creek bottom where it is a majority of locusts, probably because that mast is not preferred over others.
