Well what started what seems like a year ago (actually 3 months) they're putting the finishing touches on our street... New gas lines were ran to all the houses, new sidewalks (old ones torn out and has line ran down it) grass was replanted (not pleased with that progress) and now the road is being paved...
Been a PIA this summer with all the road closings and in between the gas line crews and the rail road crews at the crossings there's been a lot of unhappy campers, but day light is being seen now....

By the way, this is the first pavement of this road in 20 years.... It was getting to where it was needed....

Go out there with a cup of coffee and join them, or tell them how to do their jobs.

I've been feeding some of the guys coffee all summer lol
Ran into one in the airport on our way home from cruising lmao... Had a good laugh on that one...
Wife says I can't go anywhere in the world without running into some i know lol

I got 100k out of michelins on my truck. The Yukon normally gets 75-80

Damn!!!! Now that's getting your monies worth lol...

I probably could of pushed it in nicer weather and got another 10k out of them but figured I didn't need to be screwing around with that during deer season lol

A little over a year ago I started getting real disappointed in my job. I went and talked to management about it and was promised some changes. I gave them time and a few reminders of my goals without much beyond words.

I sorta half assed started looking for new employment. A few buddies of mine are linemen and kept telling me to go sign the books at Local 71. I finally got upset enough a few months back and took a day off of work to go sign the books.

Keeping my old supervisors in the loop with what I was doing. They offered me a new shift for me to stay. All though that was tempting, I'm glad I didn't. 2 weeks into this new job I'm starting to get a little more used to waking up at 0400 and driving 100 miles to the jobsite. Sure that sucks, but I'm still happier being an equipment operator then I was before. I substantial pay raise also helps. Lol

Not sure what I've been waiting for. Should've done this years ago when it was first offered. Oh well, better late then never!
