Proud parent moment last night with our 4-year old Kaydence. She's going to bible school this week and they brought home a letter about raising money for clean water for kids in Peru. We try to teach her to be thankful for what she has and to know that part of being thankful is knowing others don't have what we sometimes have. We explained to her why they we're raising money and asked her if she wanted to take some money from her stash to donate. She went to get her tin she keeps her allowance money in, opened it and said: "I bet there will be a lot of thirsty kids, so I should give them all my dollars." Nearly put her mother and I in tears. She's got a great heart and that's TOO Good!

Her mom gets most of the credit. I have very little empathy, my wife on the other hand is Miss Empathetic. Kaydence may be worse than my wife! It can be a liability at times, but when placed properly, it's a great thing and we saw that in action last night. I believe in being grateful because I'm always aware that things can be worse, so I work hard to instill that in her. Our quality of life is heavily influenced by our perspectives and I look to keep hers framed properly while I still have influence!

13 years ago I had gotten off of a deployment too a stan location that was a Cold War Russian bomber base ..... When I got home the wife wanted a dog, I reluctantly agreed since I was gone for a long time, while being gone the vacuum cleaner (Hoover wind tunnel which we'd had for 10 years) crapped out and we were shopping for a new one as well.... Reading reviews all hands at the time pointed at a Dyson which were more expensive then the leading brands and fairly new on the market over here.... We figured what the heck, lets spend a little more for quality.... We'll 14 years later and never any issues with it, we just ordered a new Dyson.... While using it today the handle lock decided it didn't want too lock anymore lol.... Looked it over and seems the parts were just wore out... Told the wife, well we had a good run with it, let's get another.... So a new Dyson is on its way, with free express shipping and all the accessories added at no charge as well for being a repeat customer.... Hopefully the new one will last as long as the last one.... The last one did wonders on both the house, boat and vehicles as well.... New one should be just as good or better lol.... Time will tell....

Bought our first one while stationed at BrokeBack Mountain Home because of the sand storms. My wife is a clean freak and vacuums at least once a day. The first one lasted about 10 years and this one is 2 years old. Worth every penny to her...I wish they'd make one you didn't have to turn the tv up...[emoji23]

We had a Hoover wind tunnel for the previous one and always thought it did a good job...

Brought home the dyson and had to empty the container twice on the first use.... Was a believer after that...

The real Amish country
It's the quality vs quantity thing we've been telling Chad about. Buying a new one for $80 every year vs spending $600 on one that last 10 years. That's a $200 saving and a much better product.

I'm well aware of quality vs quantity, but I'm not paying $60 for a pair of fuggin shorts.
