I checked a stand I was gonna hang cable was rusted almost in to if I wouldn't of caught it I would of ended up on the ground. Check your equipment also.

Lifelines and harnesses are a small price to pay compared to your life. If you can't afford them then you can't afford to hunt out of a tree. I've mentioned it here before but I have several extra harnesses that aren't being used. If anyone doesn't have one please let me know and I'll gladly send one to you free of charge. Thanks for sharing this!

Nearly always wear my harness. Slowly adding lifelines to my sets. Might be time to do some research. Wonder what price we could get on a TOO group buy for lifelines?

I use'em on all my stands. I always wear a harness, and stayed connected to the tree at all times. Only time I don't is when using the linemans belt to initially hang the stand.
