Not seeing a lot of shooters this year. Seeing a lot of nice potential 2 and 3yr olds. Good to know there are some up and comers. Little bit of a bummer with no "Whoa! That is my target!" Oh well. They will show up. Saw a cool woodpecker picture too. Kicking myself. Should have checked these after a week or two. I moved a camera to a new location and it is taking a lot of white out pics. I think it is too low, facing the wrong direction, and too close to the deer trail. Oh well. I'll move it when I'm in there again.

Nice! Some good looking deer. That narrow rack is cool
I thought so. I believe he is a killer 2yr old off to a great start. Be awesome to see a 140-150" 4yr old with only 14" spread. I don't think he is 14" now, maybe in a couple years. Lol

Last deer is probably the best on this property (that I have on camera). I believe I may have glassed a deer nicer. Just no pics. This one looks sleek and strong. Much like a thoroughbred. I'm thinking a nice 3yr old. 'Maybe' 4yr old.

Still looking good though.
Thanks guys. And yes! These aren't deer to complain about by any means. Very solid bucks. I have been very fortunate though and I choose to be picky. If one of my buddies shot one of them I'd be a little bummed the deer didn't make it another year. MOSTLY (95% of my emotions) would be happiness for my friends. I love deer hunting, but it is a deer. There will be others down the road sooner or later.

Short version: I need it to be a serious stud to shoot it. It has to be worth the debate with my wife over where to hang it. Lol

Here is one of my regulars. I think he will be ready to shoot around 2021. Sure hope he is just changing his coats of fur. If not, that is the weirdest coat I've seen on a deer. lol

Not sure what the deal is with this guy. I noticed him last year with no antlers. I think he must have been a button buck. Thought it was a doe until I found this series of pictures this year. This deer always walks around hunched over. I don't know if he is missing the lower portions of his front leg (or legs) or what the deal is? Birth defect? Injury?

I know they say the first year rack doesn't dictate what the rack will always look like. Just saying here, I sure hope this dude does something a little better next year. lmao

Not a stud. Not a terrible start. 1.5yr old with 4pt sides, decent height and width.

Another nice youngster.

This narrow racked buck intrigues me. His body and rack have me scratching my head. I want to say 3yr old but I'm thinking 2yr old. Body sort of looks 3. Physically bigger than the obvious year old bucks. Rack doesn't look like a 3yr old but I believe he is.

I hope you get some more pics of you "hunchback". I'd like to know what's going on there.

Me too. Then today I hung a couple stands. Waaaaaay late. Hated getting them up this late, but earlier in the summer I was preoccupied with my father's death. Better late than never I guess. Stands are now up. Changed cards 2 days ago while field mowing. I was in there today so I figured I may as well change again. Low and behold, the mystery has been solved. He is walking hunchback because he is missing a leg. Poor guy is a stump walker. Seems to be getting around fine. I see him covering a lot of ground on this property. His rack looks pretty decent as well. I submitted 4 pics in a series showing how he moves.

Yep, let him hobble on lol. There's a buck around one of the farms I hunt that's been on 3 legs for the last 2 years. Pretty sure he's 5 this year, goofy rack he has.
