This afternoon I took my two year old grandson for a 4 wheeler putt around the property. He spied a squirrel, a rabbit and I pointed out a bald eagle diving for a fish but our highlight was bumping a doe and her fawn. She trotted off down the trail with the fawn. We sat for a moment while he exclaimed "deer!, deer!" waiting to give them a moment to move on. We resumed our ride, ideling forward. I was so focused on looking 30-40 yards ahead looking for them, I almost dident see the youngster had stopped in the middle of the trail only 8-10 yards ahead to do the "hide".
How fortunate we are to share these things.
